Commencement Date

Hilo High Commencement Ceremony: Friday, May 18,2012

Location: Edith Kanaka'ole Tennis Stadium

Rehearsal: 8:15 am (Report to Edith Kanaka'ole Tennis Stadium) Bring your bag for Grad Nite, if you are attending

Seniors report: 6:00pm (Report to Aunty Sally's Luau Hale) Please be dressed in appropriate attire (see below)

Doors open for guests: 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Doors closed for Processional: 7:00pm - 7:30pm

Doors open for late arrivals: 7:31pm - 8:00pm

Doors closed: 8:01pm - until end of ceremony

 

 

Song Practice Dates

•          All practices are during STARS or lunch recess at the Pool on the dates below

•          Late attendees may be locked out of practice

•          Eat Wiki on lunch recess practice days, so as to not miss practice

All dues paid & fees cleared = 2 Floor Seating Tickets
 
Distributed at random song practices = 4 Upper Seating Tickets
 
Attending Grad Nite = 1 Upper Seating Ticket
 
Fulfilled senior fundraiser = 1 Upper Seating Ticket
 
 
Total possible tickets w/out fundraiser = 7
 
Total possible tickets with fundraiser = 8
 

•          Everyone needs a ticket to enter

•          Infants up to one year old, sitting on lap, do not need a ticket

•          There are NO extra tickets available

 

 

Attire

  • Cap & Gown (Required to participate in ceremony)
               *Cap & Gown order forms are available at the main office

White Collared shirt                                            White dress (shorter than gown)

Dark pants                                                          White dress shoes or sandals

Dark dress shoes                                                No high heels (Students walk up and down many stairs)

 

 

Additional Information

•         Extra announcements are on sale in Room A11 at $10 for 5

•         Extra tassels are on sale in A11 at $5 each

•         Hilo High Commencement Committee will NOT be authorizing any lei vendors

•         Fire Safety rules PROHIBIT lei boxes and balloons from being brought into the ceremony
